The Love Story of Elena and Dave
When I first connected with Agape Match, I already knew Matchmaker Maria from social media and socially, but I didn’t know Chrisoula. I loved both of them instantly. They were warm and wise, like friends or older sisters.
At the time I began the Forever Blueprint program, I had actually already gone on one date with my now husband. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I needed to have some hard conversations with myself about my patterns and who I was letting in or shutting out based on fear. I was very closed off when it came to dating due to past relationship experiences. This meant I kept going after short affairs rather than long-term relationships.
The program helped me see this clearly. It encouraged me to be more open to Dave and more open to dating with an open heart in general. I was able to take the learnings from the workshop and apply them in action. For example, I wrote a manifestation list and then realized the traits aligned with Dave. I did the same with the personality tests (I’m a negotiator and he is pure director).
I also began to show up differently in how we communicated. I went to him with all the questions we were encouraged to ask in the workshop about our values and life plans, and it inspired many conversations that showed we were on the same page. Most importantly, it allowed me to be intentional with my dating experience.

Sometimes love doesn’t hit you all at once. You have to be open to the process. It’s not black and white or, “If it’s not a hell yes it’s a hell no.” If you’re like me, with avoidant tendencies, then it’s more a matter of letting the slow burn work its magic on you. I had to learn a new way of dating because the old way, which felt comfortable to me, wasn’t actually healthy. That’s what MM let me do.
During that time, I happened to go on a date set up from Agape Match before we were exclusive, and that also helped me realize that I genuinely liked Dave, that it was real.
We have been married for two years and are more in love than ever. He is the greatest husband — warm, wise, capable, sweet, funny. I’m so happy the program helped me pause and sit with him and realize he was the one. I’m forever grateful for my time in the program.
Looking back now, I think the timing of the program was almost cosmic and amazing — one of the many inexplicable synchronicities that happens when you are on your journey to love and finding your match. Looking back, it all seems destined, and I recommend doing the program when you feel called to it, because the timing will be right.
